Today we will begin addressing the grievances put forward by the colonists against the King. Jefferson called these grievances the mark of “absolute Despotism” and “absolute Tyranny”. If these grievances are a list of acts that identify a government acting in absolute Despotism and absolute Tyranny, surely we won’t see any of these things happening today? Or will we?
