More IRS Targeting

images200x200In 1775 an ardent Christian and skillful attorney climbed into the pulpit of St. Johns church. To a packed crowd, he passionately decried the abuses of his government, ridiculed the king’s oppressive policies, declared the king a tyrant and called the people to arms. However, it was clear that this Christian attorney standing in the pulpit was committed to resisting the tyranny of his government whether the crowd was with him or not, as he cried “I know not what course others may take, but as for me, give me Liberty or give me death!”

What a stark contrast we see between Patrick Henry’s words in St. John’s Church and the words uttered from many pulpits today! According to researcher George Barna founder of The Barna Group, although 90 percent of pastors agree that the Bible speaks to “today’s issues” only 10 percent say they are willing to speak on these issues.
Some of that ten percent apparently participate in “National Pulpit Freedom Day.” That’s when some 501c3 pastors apparently muster upnotrespassingwarningsignsecurityfence13458026100x100 enough courage and obedience to God to come out of the shadows on one of 365 days and not hold back on any issue. In particular they take the no-trespassing sign off of politics and dare to allow God to have sway over these opinions as well.
dilence150x150This holiday doesn’t sit well with some anti-theists. The 19,000-member group of God-haters known as the Freedom From Religion Foundation apparently doesn’t believe churches should be allowed to serve God and Mammon. They have the audacity to believe that churches who submit themselves to the rules of a 501c3, should actually follow them (radical huh?) FFRF filed a suit and, in short, the IRS has settled and agreed to begin closer monitoring (read IRS targeting) of churches to ensure that their speech is within the rules set by the IRS. So I wonder, what will American 501c3 pastors do? Will they continue to celebrate their speak-the-truth-with-boldness holiday? Or will they get nervous and buckle? By the way, if you think the monitoring will stop with just candidate endorsments, think again. The FFRF suit named Billy Graham’s group for an ad that said “Vote Biblically.”

 
The real solution of course – stop serving God and Mammon and serve God alone. Drop the 501c3 and make God your only master and preach the Word with boldness and without reservation EVERY day of the year! I know that seems to be a difficult decision for many. As a pastor in Florida I have encountered members who seem to have an inordinate focus on the 7 cents on the dollar that the church might save from a tax exempt status. “If we can keep the 501c3 and save 30 pieces of silver then surely we’ll come out ahead, right preacher?”
More retro clipart at http://www.clipartof.com/If your church’s focus is still on the dollar bill, then take heart. Matt Staver of Liberty Counsel has pointed out that a church doesn’t have to be a 501c3 to be tax exempt; churches already have that status under the first amendment. 501c3 only imparts the privilege of being told what you can and can’t preach. As for me, I’d rather pay taxes than be silent. If we truly believe what we preach, then why isn’t everyday pulpit freedom day? So who do you think the churches should serve? Do you think we should do everything we can to fight against taxes or should we preach what God declares no matter what the cost?

The USA Has a Monarchy. Let It Have a Glorious Revolution.

When the United States began, the tradition in which it was founded was already 762 years old.

As I wrote recently in celebration of this magnificent anniversary, those who would protect freedom in our country badly scupper themselves by their ignorance of history, and there is perhaps no greater obstacle to our understanding of the history that matters than our founding myth.

America was born as a liberty-protecting Republic in opposition to a tyrannical monarchy, so the story goes. While more and more Americans are (thankfully) beginning to see the myriad travesties against our liberty that are being performed by our governing elite as threatening our very identity as a nation that exists to defend natural, unalienable and individual rights, we are all doing very much less well at seeing quite how deeply the founding purpose of our country has been subverted.

Because we “know” that not only are we not a monarchy Constitutionally, but also that our very existence is owed to its denial as a morally decadent institution, we cannot possibly admit the truth about what we have let our country become: America is now a monarchy.

Monarchy has a simple meaning – the “rule of one”. As Alexander Hamilton correctly said, “‘monarch’ is an indefinite term. It marks not either the degree or duration of power”. The fact that our king is elected for four years, then, does not change his status as a monarch.

In America today, the President can sign executive orders such as E.O. 13603, on “National Defense Resources Preparedness”, in which he claims the right to revoke all contracts and nationalize all aspects of American life even outside a state of emergency. (Bill Clinton had signed a similar order, but with applicability limited to a state of emergency only, however that may be defined. Power only ever drives in one direction.) The Executive has also claimed the authority to strike militarily countries that do not threaten our own, without a supporting vote in the House, and even to kill American citizens without any independent legal process. It also works with its agents, again without the express approval of the people’s representatives or, certainly, the knowledge of the people themselves, to receive by covert means the most private details of our lives.

Even in the late 18th century, George III, America’s stereotypical and caricatured tyrant, could not and did not write or implement law by fiat. There was no such thing as an executive order written by that Head of State. He did not have the means to surveil the nation en masse. And certainly, neither the decision to impose minimal taxes on the colonies to cover some of the costs of protecting them nor the decision to fight to keep them within the British empire, was made in one monarchical mind.

In fact, the last English monarch to sign an executive order was James II, who in 1687 issued the Declaration of Indulgence, in which he used his “legal dispensing power” to negate the effect of laws that punished Catholics and Protestant dissenters, which on the face of it, seems like a rather liberal purpose, except that it came with various concentrations of executive power to his office.

And what were the outcomes of this little piece of executive over-reach by James II?

Many of the forward-looking men of the time could see that James’s executive order reflected of a much more wide-ranging, and therefore more dangerous, attitude to power. For this reason (and others), members of the glorious-revolutionpolity, with popular support, overthrew him in what is known the Glorious Revolution. The British effectively ended the reign of the Stuarts (the royal House of which James was a part) by inviting William, Prince of Orange (in what is now the Netherlands), to take over the English monarchy. This “Glorious Revolution” of 1688 was called “Glorious” because hardly a shot was fired: but it was called a “Revolution” not only because the people had effectively chosen their monarch but, more importantly (and this is something American Constitutionalists should appreciate), because the representatives immediately and successfully limited that office by passing in the following year the (original) Bill of Rights.

The purpose of the Bill of Rights was to codify the ancient rights and liberties of the nation, limiting the monarch. Specifically, the Bill asserted,

1. The pretended power of … the execution of laws … without the consent of parliament is illegal.

2. The pretended power of dispensing with the laws, or the execution of law by regal authority, as it hath been assumed and exercised of late, is illegal.

In other words, the executive order and the signing statement – and most of what else of import the America President does unilaterally – were strictly illegal 100 years before America’s founding. America’s 21st century Presidency concentrates more power in one man than existed in the hands of the monarch of the very country against whom we supposedly rebelled for liberty in the 18th century.

This year marks the 1,000th anniversary of political liberty.  What is even more shocking is in the old motherland, which retains its Monarch (capitalized as the position is now almost entirely ceremonial) and is run politically by a prime minister, the former has no power to act politically, and the prime minister has no power to act unilaterally. Indeed, if 1776 is our starting point, the political settlement of the “tyrannical motherland” has perhaps continued broadly in the direction of individual liberty while that of the liberty-loving rebels has slid back an entire century to some pre-1688 concentration of power.

Without doubt, at the birth of our nation, Americans fought less of a monarchy than we now tolerate. More shamefully for us, even those English against whom (as we like to tell ourselves) we fought for higher ideals of liberty, had shed more blood over the centuries to rid themselves of a less monarchical government than exists in our country today.

Surely, if we let stand what stands in America today, we give the lie to our supposed national identity, and bluster like a boorish adolescent who believes he is owed credit for the massive inheritance his father left him, despite the fact he’s blown the lot.

Seeing history rhyme with such consequence is sobering enough, but seeing the rhyme predicted by those making it happen almost stops the heart…

… Remember William III, Prince of Orange, who was the figurehead of the Glorious Revolution against the last English monarch to issue an executive order? Fifty years after his death, the Prince of Orange was another William – William V – who watched, with deep engagement, the birth of the USA thousands of miles away. In a letter to John Adams, he wrote simply,

“Sir, you have given yourselves a king under the title of president.”

How very right he was. How very wrong we should make him.

The United States has a monarchy: the time has come for a Glorious Revolution.

From a Man From Israel

Let us never forget, Governments may war, but it is men who fight and families who sacrifice.

During my travels I get to meet some very amazing people.  Earlier this year, I believe by Providence, I met a business man from Israel.

I was staying in a hotel in Dallas, when all of the sudden the power went out in the entire hotel.  As I was coming out of my room  to discover the problem and how long before a solution, I met a fellow hotel guest.  He suggested we take the elevator together.  I warned him, that I didn’t think the elevator was safe in this situation and if we got in and got stuck, since I am extremely claustrophobic, it would not be pleasant!  He tried to reassure me that he would save me if that happened and we laughed.  The elevator wasn’t even working so we decided to take the stairs together, equipped with our cell phone flashlights.  That’s how I met David.

As you can imagine, when we got downstairs, there were many other guest with the same questions.

Since the emergency generator was lighting the lobby, we decided to have a seat and wait for the power to return.  We began talking and ended up sitting in the lobby for over 2 hours talking about our lives, our families,  and the world around us.  I learned so very much from him about world politics as it relates to Israel.  I chuckle now, because the first thing he said to me was, “If you believe everything you see on CNN, then you think Israel is a terrible place, bombs blasting non-stop and war everywhere.  But let me tell you, don’t believe everything you see on CNN.”  Of course I reassured him that rarely do I ever watch CNN and NEVER do I believe anything they say.  Then, we laughed together.

He told me about all the beauty in Israel and all the places I have to visit.  We talked about the travels of Jesus.  To hear about those places from someone who has actually seen them was an exciting experience.  We talked about the current conflict and he gave me something really interesting to think about.  He said, “Let me ask you a couple of questions.  If the Palestinians stopped fighting today, what do you think would happen?”  I actually thought about it for several seconds and answered, “The conflict would be over and there would be peace?”  He responded, “Yes.  Ok, now if Israel stopped fighting what would happen?”  I said, “Israel would be annihilated.”  He said, “Now you understand the real conflict, the story that is not being told on CNN.”

At some point the electricity had been fixed for over an hour and it was nearly midnight; both of us beginning to visibly wilt at the lateness of the hour.  On our way back to our rooms, we asked the clerk what had happened.  He told us that they were not really sure what happened.  It turns out that it was just our hotel.   The clerk said they were able to fix the transformer that served the hotel and all should be fine now.

That conversation was June 16, 2014.  With everything that was going on lately I started thinking about David again.  I sent him an email yesterday telling him that I am praying for him, for the safety of his family, and peace for his nation.  I didn’t know if I would hear from him or not, but I needed to at least try and let him know that there was someone over here in America praying for him.  Today, I got an email reply.

“…Thank you for your prayers.  I have been called to the army since the beginning of the operation…”

My heart sank.  I cannot imagine what this man and his family are experiencing.  I do not know why David and I met that night.  But I am certain that it was absolutely meant to be.  Perhaps God just wanted me to have a personal connection with a foreign conflict so I could sincerely, in my heart and soul, pray for them.

Please join me and pray for David and his family.  Governments may war, but men have to fight and families have to sacrifice.

 

Of Kings & Presidents

james and obamaPresidents (yes that is plural) exercise MORE POWER than Kings!

As a matter of fact, the last British King to issue an executive order was James II in 1688. That action was a catalyst to a revolution in Great Britain called the “Glorious Revolution” and brought the British people and the founder of our union a very important Liberty Charter called the English Bill of Rights.

What was James II doing? The English Bill of Rights asserts that James was COMPLETELY DESTROYING Liberty by “writing law, overturning law, and setting aside law” when that power was reserved to Parliament alone! The King was violating separation of powers and stealing power from their legislative body.

In 1688 that was grounds for WAR. In 2014, Congress says they are going to SUE the president.

This proposed law suit is in one of the most worthless and frivolous actions our Congress has ever proposed. Suing the Executive branch in a court stacked with judges by the executive branch is frivolous and DANGEROUS!

What will our Congress do when these courts rule, based upon PRECEDENT-not the Constitution- that this President is operating under proper executive authority?

Because they are too ignorant and too spineless to do what the Constitutional demands in Article 2 section 4 (Impeachment), they are going to establish through the court system that the President has UNLIMITED POWER.

How is it that the people of 1688, with no internet, no CNN, MSNBC, no FOX NEWS, KNEW that when the King stole power from the Legislative branch that was the COMPLETE DESTRUCTION of Liberty and today, we literally do NOTHING!

It is time for We The People and our States to RISE UP and oppose this madness. It is time to STAND for the Constitution and DENY the federal government’s use of unlawful power.

We must STAND NOW or declare our Constitution DEAD at the hands of the very people we elected to preserve it. Stand now or forever hold your peace as you watch your children become enslaved.

A Word From a Converted Liberal. There is Hope.

liberty fb wsRight up front there are some things that I need to tell you about myself. I want you to know where I came from and how I got to where I am today. I don’t want to ever be accused of deception or dishonesty. So, in full disclosure:

I was not born a Constitutionalist. I did not live my life with an inherent understanding of Liberty and what is necessary to defend it. I was not raised a Christian. For some, these things will be a stumbling block, so you need to know from me.

I was raised a Democrat. The only thing more evil than Satan was a Republican in my home. There were no choices to be made in voting…straight Democrat party line was the only choice.

I was an environmentalist- a rabid environmentalist. Some of my best friends were members of Green Peace and I supported the WWF and PETA.  I beleieved the earth would be better off without humans.  I was a vegetarian by ideology, not for health reasons, for almost 15 years.

I believed in the “good” of scientific manipulations of food and the necessity of vaccines. Not only believed this, but helped create them when I was a biochemist for Monsanto.

I believed in Global Warming and defended it vigorously. I believed in the Big Bang and openly criticized those who believed in creationism as ignorant and misled.

I believed Government’s duty and purpose was to be a provider for the people. I supported programs that would give the government more control over the people. I even believed a One World Government was the best way to go to ensure “global peace.” I supported the principles of socialism, although I cannot claim to have known at the time it was socialism, per se, that I supported.

I supported abortion and often openly condemned others for being pro-life. I have argued with abortion protesters on street corners and called them names that I am not proud of.

I was not only not a Christian, but I practiced many other religions, including many occult versions. I was bitter against God and felt that only ignorant, weak people needed faith. I was too intelligent and too educated for such a feeble crutch.

I was not born with the knowledge that I have now. I did not wake up one morning with a divine epiphany. I traveled a long road. Learned some hard and painful lessons. My beliefs were challenged and I came to know the Truth.  Now I am a true constitutionalist. I have written 6 books about the Constitution and Liberty. I have a radio show heard by 2 million people evey week. I teach the Constitution all over America and even started my own online training program called “Liberty First University.”

I am able to stand firm on what I believe because I have discovered the difference between truth and lies. I am able to defend the truth because I walked the path. I can show you my path of discovery, and to be guaranteed it is not tied to any political motivation or personal gain…unless you call the liberation that comes from knowing the truth in the face of lies, a personal gain.

So when someone says to you…”Did you know that person used to be associated with this or that group or used to believe this… How can you possibly believe him now?” Remember this story.

It is good to question someone’s “transformation”. You SHOULD do that. If they cannot show you that path, step by step, you should question their motivations.

But do not discount someone’s current position just because of who they USED to be or who they USED to associate with or what they USED to believe. Sometimes it is NOT a selfish or deceptive motivation, but a path to enlightenment.

Do you have a family member who is a progressive?  Do you have a co-worker that is hostile to the truth?  Don’t give up hope!  We have an obligation to bring the truth.  When truth is the enemy or the source of hostile response, you know for sure that someone is afraid they are believing lies!  Their foundation is being rocked, so keep on rocking!  Keep shining that light.  Keep walking a consistent walk.  Saint Francis of Assisi said, “All… should preach by their deeds.” Let your deeds be Truth, let your walk be Liberty.

Remember, we all had to wake up somehow.  All you have to do is take the first step to truth and then Walk Away from the lies.

I Am Not Ashamed

1 Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the Lord.
2 Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart.
17 Deal bountifully with thy servant, that I may live, and keep thy word.
18 Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.
28 My soul melteth for heaviness: strengthen thou me according unto thy word.
29 Remove from me the way of lying: and grant me thy law graciously.
30 I have chosen the way of truth: thy judgments have I laid before me.
22 Remove from me reproach and contempt; for I have kept thy testimonies.
23 Princes also did sit and speak against me: but thy servant did meditate in thy statutes.
24 Thy testimonies also are my delight and my counselors.
36 Incline my heart unto thy testimonies, and not to covetousness.
37 Turn away mine eyes from beholding vanity; and quicken thou me in thy way.
45 And I will walk at liberty: for I seek thy precepts.
46 I will speak of thy testimonies also before kings, and will not be ashamed.
75 I know, O Lord, that thy judgments are right, and that thou in faithfulness hast afflicted me.
76 Let, I pray thee, thy merciful kindness be for my comfort, according to thy word unto thy servant.
77 Let thy tender mercies come unto me, that I may live: for thy law is my delight.
78 Let the proud be ashamed; for they dealt perversely with me without a cause: but I will meditate in thy precepts.

Walking in liberty is walking in the way of God. It is understanding that Liberty is a gift from God. It is knowing that God is the giver of knowledge, bounty, and peace. But it is also knowing that God is a God of righteous judgement. Living with God’s gifts and bounty always requires a responsibility. “For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required:” Luke 12:48 Will you SPEAK of God’s testimonies before Kings and not be ashamed?

This is not a declaration that the Psalmist will “believe”, or “know”, or “understand.” It is a declaration of ACTION…

“I WILL SPEAK AND NOT BE ASHAMED!”

We lose this walk toward Liberty because we are unwilling to act, unwilling to declare, unwilling to SPEAK, so generations FORGET. To teach and remember where our Liberty comes from we MUST SPEAK!

Our founders knew this, yet we have forgotten. Listen to the wisdom of Thomas Jefferson:

“The God who gave us life gave us liberty. Can the liberties of a nation be secure when we have removed a conviction that these liberties are the gift of God?”

Perhaps Jefferson was remarking on the understanding that Liberty as a gift from God requires a sense of responsibility. “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” Matthew 6:33

Do you cling to God’s word? Do you seek His understanding? Do you walk after God? If not, then you cannot walk at Liberty. The next question will be, do you know that our God is a God of righteous judgement? Thomas Jefferson knew this; this is what he said:

“Indeed I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just, that his justice cannot sleep forever.”

I find it no coincidence that our Right to Free Speech is codified in the same Amendment as our Right to Freedom of Religion. As Christians we have a duty to walk at Liberty, to seek FIRST the kingdom of God and His righteousness and then we must SPEAK! Today is a day to review my path. What am I walking toward? What makes me ashamed? I should always be walking toward Liberty. I should never be ashamed of the gifts of God.

Here is my prayer from this psalm:
124 Deal with thy servant according unto thy mercy, and teach me thy statutes.
125 I am thy servant; give me understanding, that I may know thy testimonies.
132 Look thou upon me, and be merciful unto me, as thou usest to do unto those that love thy name.
133 Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me.
134 Deliver me from the oppression of man: so will I keep thy precepts.
135 Make thy face to shine upon thy servant; and teach me thy statutes.

Seal the borders. Preserve the Constitution. Preserve Liberty.

 

 

governors wsI was contacted by concerned citizens in Texas to write a letter to Governor Rick Perry.  This is not a Texas border crisis.  This is a NATIONAL border crisis.  We must express our discontent for the negligence of our governors in their refusal to ACT.   Let us work together to secure Liberty.  Lets make a NATIONAL campaign to send this letter not just to Gov. Rick Perry, but EVERY governor in this Republic.  Send it once.  Send it twice. Send until the borders are sealed and the States are enforcing the law and securing Liberty!  My prayer is that this letter floods this land so this truth cannot be ignored or denied.  It is time for We The People to remove our consent of these dangerous and unlawful acts of government!

Dear Governor Perry,

This border crisis is the perfect opportunity to operate as a State should operate and be on the forefront of limiting an out of control federal government.  As Governor, you not only have the power, but you have the obligation to the people of Texas to get the borders secured immediately.  Governor Perry, please allow me to reinforce your desire to secure the Liberty of the people of Texas with a few Constitutional and historical facts.

On July 2, 1776, when the Continental Congress ratified the Lee Resolution, the framers of this union created 13 Independent Sovereign States.  This is very clearly written and then repeated in the text of the Declaration of Independence published on July 4, 1776.  The relevant portion reads:

“That these United Colonies are, and of Right ought to be Free and Independent States; that they are Absolved from all Allegiance to the British Crown, and that all political connection between them and the State of Great Britain, is and ought to be totally dissolved; and that as Free and Independent States, they have full Power to levy War, conclude Peace, contract Alliances, establish Commerce, and to do all other Acts and Things which Independent States may of right do.”

Your power as Governor is derived from the nature of the creation of these States in 1776.  Texas is a Free and Independent State, with no different power than the “State of Great Britain.”  In 1776 there was no central government and the creation of the States by the people vested the States with the same power as all other sovereign governments on the globe.  The formation of the Constitution did not eliminate the states’ sovereignty and the Tenth Amendment confirms that.

“The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people.” Tenth Amendment

We must take notice that the powers are “delegated” to the central government “by” the Constitution.  Understanding that the States were vested with the “full Power to levy War, conclude Peace, contract Alliances, establish Commerce, and to do all other Acts and Things which Independent States may of right do” in 1776, the power delegated to the central government via the Constitution had to come from the States.

The word “delegation” legally means “the entrusting another with a general power to act for the good of those who depute him.” (See Black’s Law Dictionary)  When a power has been “delegated” it is not permanently surrendered.  When the one “entrusted” with that power fails to act in that trust, the power reverts to the delegator.  The federal government has been “entrusted” with the power to secure the borders of our country “for the good of” the States.  The federal government’s abject failure to do so means that power and responsibility reverts to the States.

You do not have to sue the federal government to do their job.  You do not have to petition them any longer.  Their failure means that you now have the power and the obligation to secure those borders for the security of the people of your State.

Texas Senator Dan Patrick admitted on the Laura Ingram Show that illegal immigrants are coming into Texas in greater numbers than people born in Texas.  He gave some very alarming and disturbing numbers regarding the number of criminals that are coming across the border.  Governor Perry, you have the power to stop this.  You have the duty to the people of Texas and to the other States in this union to stop this.  We are glad that you are mindful of the eternal consequences, and that you are doing the right thing.  You have the power, and that will only be disputed by those who wish to enslave your people and deny the States their rights.

Our prayers are with you, Governor Perry.  We are praying that you continue to do the right thing; the right thing for the people of Texas, for the people of the United States, and for the Constitution.  The state of this nation and the Liberty of the people lie in your hands.  Please help us defend liberty for our children and the future of Liberty around the world.  Seal the borders.  Preserve the Constitution.  Preserve Liberty.  May God lead you and guide you.  May God have mercy on this country and the State of Texas.

6 Surely he shall not be moved for ever: the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance.

7 He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the Lord.

8 His heart is established, he shall not be afraid, until he see his desire upon his enemies.

9 He hath dispersed, he hath given to the poor; his righteousness endureth for ever; his horn shall be exalted with honour.

10 The wicked shall see it, and be grieved; he shall gnash with his teeth, and melt away: the desire of the wicked shall perish.

Saint Francis of Assisi said, “All… should preach by their deeds.” What are you preaching? Contradiction or Liberty? Government dependence or Trusting God? I find it very informative that verses 7 & 8 say, “He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart fixed, trusting in the Lord His heart established, he shall not be afraid, until he sees his desire upon his enemy.” and the Psalm concludes by saying, “The wicked shall see it, and be grieved; he shall gnash with his teeth, and melt away; the desire of the wicked shall perish.”

First, Trust in the Lord. Then you will not fear what ever evil man may have to dish out.

Second, it is the responsibility of the INDIVIDUAL to engage in lending and charity, NOT government. This is not a guide for government this is a guide for MEN. The scripture says to render unto Caesar what is Caesar’s. Not render unto Caesar what is my service to my neighbor. Charity is a MORAL obligation not a political obligation. Our churches and our Christians have become confused on this issue. This Godly obligation has been delegated to government making our Christians and our churches LAZY and DEPENDENT upon government instead of trusting and relying on God. It is our duty as Christians and good Patriots to take care of our brother, not the obligation of government.

Lastly, our actions determine the results. If we do not trust in the Lord, If we do not operate under this guide, how can we ever expect to see the results we desire? We end up putting government in charge of our moral obligations, trusting government for a work and service to be done through man by the provision of God. We determine government to be our provider, instead of God. If our deeds are NOT as Christians should be, then the enemies will NOT see our strength, they will NOT be grieved, and they will NOT melt away. We WILL be afraid, our hearts will NOT be established. We will NOT see the victory we are promised.

Therefore, until we, as Christians AND pastors, start “preaching” to trust God MORE and rely LESS on government, we are as spoiled children expecting our Father to make things right, when continue to live wrong.

1 Praise ye the Lord. Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord, that delighteth greatly in his commandments.

2 His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed.

3 Wealth and riches shall be in his house: and his righteousness endureth for ever.

4 Unto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness: he is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.

You cannot serve God and mammon; You cannot have victory over the enemies of God’s gifts, unless you are willing to put your service in the right direction. We must defend the gifts of God, not fighting to maintain the gifts of government. If people fought as hard for Liberty, truly a gift from God, as they do to maintain social security, welfare, and other government programs, we wouldn’t be in the mess we are in today.

The Price of Liberty, Are You Willing To Pay?

Our founders pledge Life, Fortune, and Sacred Honor to give us a union with the sole purpose to “Preserve the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our posterity.”

John Adams wrote to Abigail April 26, 1777 and said:

“Is it not intollerable, that the opening Spring, which I should enjoy with my Wife and Children upon my little Farm, should pass away, and laugh at me, for labouring, Day after Day, and Month after Month, in a Conclave, Where neither Taste, nor Fancy, nor Reason, nor Passion, nor Appetite can be gratified?

Posterity! You will never know, how much it cost the present Generation, to preserve your Freedom! I hope you will make a good Use of it. If you do not, I shall repent in Heaven, that I ever took half the Pains to preserve it.”

They were building a future where Liberty could prosper. They knew that Liberty was a gift from God, but they knew it came at a sacrifice. Listen to John Adams in 1765:

“Liberty must at all hazards be supported. We have a right to it, derived from our Maker. But if we had not, our fathers have earned and bought it for us, at the expense of their ease, their estates, their pleasure, and their blood.”

Liberty is a gift from God, but it also requires a sacrifice. Has America become so accustomed to prosperity and comfort to stand for Liberty?

Alexander Hamilton asked:

“Is it not better, I ask, to suffer a few present inconveniences, than to put yourselves in the way of losing every thing that is precious? Your lives, your property, your religion, are all at stake.”

But just as in Jesus’ day, men are too addicted to comfort to do what is necessary for the future of Liberty (Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free).

I still see so many still willing to choose prosperity over Liberty and political party over principles. But it was that way in 1776 as well. Only 30% of the population chose Liberty then, too. Don’t grow dim Patriots. We don’t need a majority, just a tireless minority willing to ignite the bushfires.

I wonder how much we will love our economy when Common Core is brainwashing our children into brownshirts, the State supports the seizure of our guns and the warrantless searches of our property. Perhaps BLM can come her too and take the land from our farmers and ranchers?

Oh but then we will hear, “Don’t be ridiculous, KrisAnne! If they come to get MY (fill in the blank) they will take it from my cold dead hand.” I will say, “yes they will. Because when you had a chance to choose Liberty peacefully, you chose prosperity, security, jobs, healthcare, etc.”

I do my duty to warn you. If you choose to madden on to your own destruction your consciences shall reproach you and your children’s children will curse you.

Choose you this day…as for me an my house we will serve the Lord.

The sacrifice may be great but the reward is 100 fold!

And We Repeat Our Mistakes…

Please explain to me WHY when Americans protest and plea for our Liberty as guaranteed by our Constitution and all Natural Rights, our pleas are disdainfully rejected and our own government calls us domestic terrorists. The president even says our cries of tyranny should be completely ignored as ridiculous.

Yet, at the same time, every thug, criminal, and worthless incendiary, who, taking advantage of our government’s negligence, crossing the border with a tale of accusations against his foreign government, is heard with attentive and compassionate ears and rewarded with some token of government favor?

HISTORY REPEATS!  Mercy Otis Warren said this about the crown in 1768. I just put it in modern English.

Here is Mercy’s exact quote:

“…their addresses were disdainfully rejected; the king and the court of Great Britain appeared equally deaf to the cry of millions, who only asked a restoration of their rights.  At the same time, every worthless incendiary, who, taking advantage of these miserable times, crossed the Atlantic with a tale of accusation against his country, was listened to with attention, and rewarded with some token of royal favor.”  Mercy Otis Warren, History of the Rise, Progress, and Termination of the American Revolution, 1805.

Arise America!  Learn your history so we can stop repeating these mistakes.  We will continue to live under a federal government thinks itself to be King, until We The People begin acting like a Republic.  Remember we created a government that was supposed to be instituted “among men, deriving its just powers from the consent of the governed.”  We must stop consenting to be ruled!  How is it that we are a government who only has power through the consent of the governed, yet when we protest and make our discontent known we are labeled as terrorists and seditionists? A government cannot preserve your Liberties by simultaneously infringing on them!

Time to stand.  Time to refuse consent.  Time to resist.  Time to refuse to comply.
